Start the New Year by Adding, Not Subtracting: A Healthier Approach to Weight Loss and Self-Care

As we step into the new year, we’re often told to focus on what we should give up to be healthier and happier. But what if, instead, you focused on what you can add to your life to make it easier, healthier, and aligned with your goals?

Yes, there will be things to let go of, but when you focus on adding positive habits, letting go becomes so much easier.

If you’re navigating challenges with weight gain or yoyo dieting, ask yourself:
-What can I add to my life that brings me comfort in healthy ways?
-How can I dedicate more time to taking care of me?

Take a moment to reflect on this, and consider scheduling these acts of care into your calendar.

Food often becomes a way to soothe uncomfortable emotions or fill unmet needs. But the more you nurture yourself and meet those needs in other ways, the less control food will have over you.
